Network Takes 3 of the Top 5 Shows Nationally In All Important Adults 18-49 Demographic

TORONTO, Sept. 28 /CNW/ - With the first week of fall premieres now complete, Global's primetime lineup secured 3 of the Top 5 shows for Adults 18-49, the most coveted demographic by advertisers. Fan favourites House, Survivor and Glee not only fuelled the network's domination of the country's Top 5 ranking nationally, they also helped bolster the Top 10 in the three major markets.
Among the flurry of new series this fall, Hawaii Five-0 swiftly rose above the rest to become the #1 new show this season, pushing past its closest competitor, CTV's The Defenders by 27% (A18-49, national). Outsourced also made its mark with Canadians, edging out the competition to take the spot as the #1 new comedy.
Plus, Global's sophomore series continued to gain year over year momentum from last season's average with Glee up by 21%; The Cleveland Show up by 13%; NCIS: LA up by 8%.
