TORONTO, Oct. 4, 2016 /CNW/ - Final data confirms Global is the #1 network for premiere week (September 19-25, 2016) in core primetime. The Network's core primetime audience has grown year over year across all key demos including: 14% (2+), 3% (A18-34), 7% (A18-49), and 9% (A25-54). Global also claims 3 of the Top 5 new series with Bull, MacGyver, and Kevin Can Wait grabbing top spots across all key demos.

Canadians welcomed back Michael Weatherly with open arms as final data reveals 2.8 million viewers (2+) tuned in to the series premiere of Bull, making it not only the #1 new series for A25-54, W18-49, and W25-54, but also the #1 series overall with total viewers (2+).
Another fan favourite also made a comeback in a big way as comedy king Kevin James returned with his new series Kevin Can Wait garnering over 1.6 million viewers (2+). As the #1 new comedy (2+ and all key demos), Kevin Can Wait not only ranks among Canada's Top 5 new series, but also lands in the Top 10 programs for A18-34, A18-49, W18-34, M18-34, M18-49, and M25-54.
Global's Friday night lineup also saw big numbers as final data confirms 2.2 million (2+) viewers watched the premiere of new series MacGyver. As the #1 series of the night, the action-adventure drama was the biggest Friday night premiere on Global in over 5 years. The iconic reboot also lands in the Top 10 most-watched series (2+), and in the Top 20 for the other key demos (A18-34, A18-49, and A25-54).
Complementing the success of the network's new series, Global's longstanding hit Survivor also maintains its staying power during premiere week. Now in its 33rd season, the reality champ captures the #1 spot as the most-watched series for A18-34, A18-49 and A25-54, growing 16% (A18-34 and A18-49), and 17% (A25-54) year over year.
Overall, Global crushed the competition premiere week as the #1 network in total viewers, claiming the #1 series (2+), 3 of the Top 5 new series, and 7 of the Top 10 most-watched programs (2+) in core primetime.
