CARY, N.C., Jan. 10, 2019 /CNW/ -- Global Knowledge, the worldwide leader in technology skills solutions, has announced that it is building the world's largest portfolio of "blended" training courses.
The portfolio, called Blended Live, is Global Knowledge's blended training program, which combines the expert direction of instructor-led training with the flexibility of on-demand learning. It allows tech professionals to close critical skills gaps more effectively, reduce worktime disruption and improve skills development.
Todd Johnstone, Global Knowledge's CEO said, "Every year we work with a quarter of a million IT and business professionals around the world, and the way that they want to learn is constantly evolving. To help them build their professional skills we continuously invest in innovative training delivery."
"Building on our industry-leading breadth and depth of content and certification preparation, our investment in blended learning, alongside our established classroom and on-demand portfolios, means that we are uniquely positioned to meet the tech skills needs of enterprises and IT professionals."
Blended Live delivers:
- A better learning experience without travel.
- Digital content, available 24x7 worldwide, so professionals can train around work and life schedules.
- Weekly live virtual instructor-led sessions from a subject matter expert, where students can ask questions, receive direction, and interact with other students.
There are currently 15 Blended Live courses in cybersecurity, Microsoft, Cisco and networking, and the portfolio will expand to over 50 courses during 2019. Global Knowledge is also developing custom programs for enterprise customers.
Improved Skills Development
During a course, Challenge Labs provide students with real-world problems to solve in a hands-on environment. Learners are tasked with completing challenges individually or in teams, using the skills that they have learned. Their solution is then assessed by the instructor. The challenge labs provide sponsors and employers with verification to validate the effectiveness of the training.
Collaboration
Blended Live courses also feature Global Knowledge's next-generation virtual classroom technology that allows students to study from convenient locations, while retaining the advantages of interacting with instructors and other learners in real time.
