TORONTO, May 14, 2012 /CNW/ - Survivor continues to be a force to be reckoned with. After 24 seasons of every imaginable twist and turn - and some no one could have predicted - the legendary franchise is unstoppable. This season's edition on Global attracted more than 2.1 million viewers (Ind. 2+) with a two-hour grand finale that featured two immunity challenges and plenty of "backroom deals", followed by a one hour, live reunion show. The impact of last night's dramatic finish was felt in all four key metered markets, where Survivor: One World pushed Global to the top.
SURVIVOR 8PM -11PM DATA HIGHLIGHTS:

- Surges past CTV's series finale of Desperate Housewives by 56% (A18-49) and by 32% (Ind. 2+)

Host, Jeff Probst, will have a busy fall this year. First, he'll launch The Jeff Probst Show, a one-hour talk show that will cover topics ranging from relationships and family dynamics to newsmakers of the day, families and individuals facing challenges. Its premiere date will be announced in a few weeks.
Shortly after that premiere, Probst will return as the amiable host of Survivor: Philippines, the franchise's 25th season in which there will be three returning players, each of whom was medically evacuated in a previous season. Each returning player will join one of three tribes.
