GMP Capital Inc. Announces Departure of Chief Financial Officer and Appointment of New Chief Financial Officer

TORONTO, Sept. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - GMP Capital Inc. ("GMP") (TSX: GMP) announced today that Christine Drake, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary, is leaving GMP. GMP also announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Deborah Starkman, Managing Director, Finance, as GMP's new Chief Financial Officer and Secretary, effective immediately. Ms. Starkman has served in a number of roles including Head of Regulatory Reporting and Risk Management since joining GMP in February 2006.  Ms. Starkman is a Chartered Accountant and also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
