GO Transit Launches New Web Tool to Keep Passengers in the Know
GO Tracker provides real-time train status information
TORONTO, Dec. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - GO Transit is introducing GO Tracker, another customer communications tool released by the region's transit agency to keep their passengers in the know.
GO Tracker is a web tool that provides real-time GO Train departure information right in the palm of the customer's hand. On their mobile device or computer, passengers can view their estimated train departure times and platform information at gotransit.com/gotracker.
GO is constantly striving to innovate and improve how they communicate with customers. Since promising to keep passengers in the know through their Passenger Charter in 2010, GO has introduced several customer communications tools, such as GO electronic signage, GO Mobile, and "On the GO" alerts.
GO eSignage is now on display at all GO stations, providing real-time service status information when and where passengers need it.
GO Mobile, GO's first mobile app, allows users to view schedule information directly from their mobile device. GO Mobile, which has now been downloaded over 240,000 times, recently received an update, improving its iPhone accessibility functionality and providing users with direct access to GO's Service Updates webpage.
"On the GO" alerts give subscribers up-to-the-minute information by email or SMS text. Passengers can subscribe to specific GO stations, lines and routes to ensure they get service information relevant to them.
For more information on GO services and access to these tools, the public can call 416.869.3200, 1.888.GET ON GO (438.6646), 1.800.387.3652 TTY, or visit gotransit.com.
