Extra service and advance tickets for Labour Day weekend
TORONTO, Aug. 27, 2012 /CNW/ - Taking GO Transit this summer has never been easier with more train trips to great summertime events, like the CNE. GO Transit is selling CNE admission tickets, running extra GO Train service and offering advance GO day passes for Labour Day weekend.
For more options to get downtown over Labour Day weekend, GO is providing special train trips on some lines that do not normally operate on weekends and extra trips on the Lakeshore lines. The special trips on Lakeshore, Milton, Kitchener and Richmond Hill GO lines will include a morning Toronto-bound trip and one homebound trip in the afternoons of September 1, 2 and 3. GO's summer weekend train service along the Barrie line will offer even more options to get to the Ex.
Advance flat-rate GO day passes for travel during Labour Day weekend are available at most GO Train stations now. Adults can travel to/from the CNE for $10 per day; discounted passes for seniors, children and groups are also available.
Passengers can also buy their CNE admission tickets and ride-all-day CNE passes at most stations. Getting GO passes and CNE admission in advance means worry-free travel when it's time to go.
Information on the advance passes and special service is available at gotransit.com.
The CNE runs until September 3; it's a fun Toronto tradition, offering something for everyone. For more information on the CNE, visit www.theex.com.
