GO Transit offers alternative to the reindeer and sleigh - more service for
Santa Claus Parade this weekend
TORONTO, Nov. 18, 2010 /CNW/ - On Sunday, November 21, in addition to regular Sunday service, GO Transit will run extra trains along the Lakeshore corridor for the annual Santa Claus parade.
An additional westbound train will depart Oshawa GO Station at 10:11 a.m. making all stops and arriving at Union Station at 11:10 a.m. An additional eastbound train will depart Aldershot GO Station at 10:34 a.m, making all stops and arriving at Union at 11:40 a.m. The parade begins at 12:45 p.m. and the added trains will give revelers plenty of time to make their way to the parade route. Following Santa's departure to the North Pole, extra homebound trains will depart Union westbound to Aldershot at 4:13 p.m and eastbound to Oshawa at 4:43 p.m. making all stops.
The GO Group Pass is an easy way for the whole family to travel. Up to five people, including one or two adults, can ride all day for one special fare. With no downtown driving or parking, GO Transit certainly makes the 'Nice' list for this year's parade.
