GO Transit offers extra Lakeshore train service for the final Honda Indy race
TORONTO, July 12, 2010 /CNW/ - On Sunday, July 18, the final Honda Indy race day, GO Transit will run additional Lakeshore trains serving all stations to Exhibition as well as the regular hourly service offered that day.
The extra trains will leave from Aldershot GO Station at 10:34 a.m. and from Oshawa GO Station at 10:11 a.m. to Exhibition. Additional evening trains will also be offered from Exhibition after the final race to help get passengers home.
GO is pleased to be able to offer extra service to help get passengers to and from the Honda Indy. This event brings three days of on-track and off-track activities held from July 16 - 18, 2010.
Throughout the summer and for major events, GO adds extra train service if possible to help more and more people enjoy festivities in and around Toronto.
This year's Honda Indy is being held on the streets of Exhibition Place, a unique site situated along the shores of Lake Ontario immediately west of downtown Toronto. If using GO Transit, please exit at Exhibition GO Station and walk south to Gate 4.
