AKRON, Ohio, June 9, 2015 /CNW/ -- GOJO Industries, the inventors of PURELL® Advanced Hand Sanitizer, will be exhibiting at the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Canada 2015 National Education Conference in Victoria, British Columbia, from June 14-17, 2015. SMARTLINK™ Hand Hygiene Solutions
GOJO is on the forefront of hand hygiene compliance with its launch of SMARTLINK™ Hand Hygiene Solutions. Hospitals in North America and across the world have installed the SMARTLINK system to measure and improve hand hygiene compliance. The primary components of the SMARTLINK™ solution are:
- GOJO SMARTLINK™ Activity Monitoring System monitors and measures compliance on a community level providing real-time actionable data by floor, unit or room.
- GOJO SMARTLINK™ RTLS Technology monitors and measures hand hygiene compliance at an individual level through Real-Time Locating System (RTLS)-enabled employee badges. System easily integrates with existing third-party RTLS systems.
- GOJO SMARTLINK™ Clinician-Based Support provides GOJO clinical team guides that become part of the hospital's infection prevention team and provide customized implementation, on-site audits, setup, baseline measurements and detailed improvement plans
- GOJO SMARTLINK™ Observation System is a mobile application and accompanying web-based software that facilitates the electronic collection and collation of hand hygiene and personal protective equipment metrics.
The PURELL ES Everywhere System
The new PURELL ES™ Everywhere System is the smallest, most versatile and appealing PURELL® System in the market offering unparalleled placement access and convenience. The system is designed to fit in places that are unable to accommodate traditional dispensers or where bottles are commonly found. It features a ready-to-install preassembled base, contains almost twice as much product as a standard eight-fluid ounce bottle and allows for easy, at-a-glance monitoring of product level for easy servicing.
The PURELL ES™ Everywhere System is ideal for patient care rooms, the nurses' station, treatment carts, registration areas, emergency medical services, break rooms and offices. It can be placed where it is needed to help keep staff and patients healthy.
Hand Hygiene Compliance Monitoring Education Session sponsored by GOJO
In this session on Sunday, June 14, Matthew Muller, MD PhD FRCPC, of St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, will share his thoughts and review the limitations of the current 'gold standard' of hand hygiene compliance monitoring and help to create an understanding on improvement strategies, reporting and compliance alternatives. Then Angeli Mitra, BScN MSc, of Island Health in Victoria, British Columbia, will examine the role of auditing in changing healthcare worker behaviour and discuss alternative methods for improving hand hygiene compliance.
GOJO offers a breadth of hand hygiene solutions to the healthcare market including high-efficacy formulations, advanced technology dispensing systems and the SMARTLINK™ Hand Hygiene Solution that is built upon a state-of-the-art electronic compliance monitoring platform.
