Golden partnership for CinéTFO and the REGARD Festival of short films

TORONTO, March 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Groupe Média TFO announced today that it has signed a new partnership agreement with the Festival REGARD sur le court métrage in preparation for the 17th annual edition of this international festival of short films, to be held in Saguenay, Quebec from March 13 to 17, 2013.

As a Gold Partner for the 2013 edition of the festival, TFO will present the award to the winner of the Tourner à tout prix competition, which recognizes an emerging young Canadian film director who has shown boldness and exceptional, innovative talent in the short-film medium. The public can view all of the films entered in this competition at a special web site developed in partnership between TFO and the festival, at http://regard.zonefestival.com.

As Marie Masse, Groupe Média TFO's Managing Director for Web/TV Content, explains, "Groupe Média TFO is recognized for the quality of its own film programming, and we want to recognize the work of emerging filmmakers in turn. Our partnership with the REGARD festival confirms our commitment to the people who make short films."

In addition, TFO film host Joseph Elfassi will be at the festival conducting a series of interviews that will be available for viewing on TFO, on social media, and at tfo.org/cine.

About the Festival REGARD sur le court métrage au Saguenay
The REGARD festival, held in Saguenay, Quebec, showcases short films by Quebec, Canadian, and international filmmakers and encourages exchanges among professionals in the film and television industry.
