Golden Queen Mining Co. Ltd. - Update on Project Approvals

VANCOUVER, April 22 /CNW/ - Golden Queen Mining Co. Ltd. announces that further to its press release of April 9, 2010, the Kern County Planning Department received notice of two appeals of the April 8, 2010, decision of the Kern County Planning Commission unanimously approving the Company's Soledad Mountain project. The appeals were filed by a regulatory agency of the State of California relating to reclamation plan provisions and by a private landholder. The Company will support the Kern County Planning Department in responding to the appeals by continuing to supply information that is requested. The Kern County Board of Supervisors is presently scheduled to consider the appeals at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 25, 2010.
