BRANTFORD, ON, Oct. 12, 2018 /CNW/ - 2599708 Ontario Inc. ("Good & Green") is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, 2599760 Ontario Corp., received its Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations ("ACMPR") cultivation license from Health Canada.
With this license, Good & Green is permitted to begin cultivating cannabis at its 46,000 sq. ft. indoor facility, located on five acres of land in Brantford, Ontario.
"We are proud to have achieved this important milestone. Good & Green has done a tremendous job of expeditiously progressing through Health Canada's licensing process and we look forward to supplying high quality, consistent, and homogenous organic cannabis and cannabis products", said Jeannette VanderMarel, co-founder and President of Good & Green.
"This significant achievement positions the company to be a meaningful supplier to legal medical and recreational markets, in Canada and around the world. We are looking forward to continuing to expand our community of strategic partnerships to build out best in class capabilities and deliver innovative and in demand products", said Daniel Goldberg, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Good & Green.
This announcement follows shortly after Good & Green acquired a 100 acre outdoor farm in southwest Ontario. In mid-October, once permitted under the Cannabis Act, Good & Green will be submitting a second site cultivation license application for the farm, which will have the ability to produce at least 40,000 kg of dried cannabis per year, beginning in the spring of 2019. Good & Green's licensed indoor facility in Brantford will also support the farm's pre and post production activities, including product development and manufacturing.
