CORNWALL, ON, June 22, 2018 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, June 12th, Cst. Jean Juneau received the Professional Road Safety Award from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Cst. Juneau had been nominated by members of various community groups such as the "Comité d'action régional pour la sécurité" (CARS) for his dynamic and unique approach to addressing the dangers of driving distracted or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
His ability to connect with various audiences and in particular youth, made his presentations more engaging thereby increasing the likelihood of changing driving behaviours. Community partners recognized Constable Juneau's passion and dedication to the students as well as his talents as a motivational speaker. "His infectious enthusiasm will be missed by all the entire community as he prepares to enter retirement.''
