Gordie Howe teams up with local company Helix Hearing Care Centre for hearing
awareness day at Scotiabank Place
OTTAWA, Nov. 22 /CNW/ - On Saturday November 27th from 9:00am to 1:30pm, Helix Hearing Care Centre and hockey Hall of Famer Gordie Howe will team up. Both are coming together at Scotiabank Place in an effort to raise awareness on the importance of healthy hearing.
Since correcting his hearing over a year ago, Gordie Howe now shares the advantages of better hearing with other Canadians. His next public appearance will be at Scotiabank Place, where he'll be joined by audiologists and hearing aid specialists from Helix Hearing Care Centre. The event is designed to encourage residents of Ottawa and the surrounding area to come find out more about hearing and hearing care. Helix will be there to offer professional information and provide free hearing screenings, while Mr. HockeyTM will be there to sign autographs, meet people, and discuss how better hearing has changed his life.
"When the professionals at Helix Hearing Care Centre helped me with my hearing problem, it changed my life. The lifestyle transformation was so positive that I now actively promote healthy hearing to those who suffer like I did." Jeff Geigel, President of Helix, is excited about Mr. Howe's commitment to the awareness campaign: "I think the benefits of better hearing improved Gordie's lifestyle so much that he now feels it necessary to spread the good news about the importance of hearing care. He is a great spokesperson because he cares so much."
The awareness event will also include draw prizes, refreshments, and special promotions. For more information on the Gordie Howe and Helix Hearing Care Centre partnership please call 877-268-1045.
