MONTREAL, Feb. 28, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Parc Jean-Drapeau is turning into a gastronomical fair this weekend as it plays host to the Week-ends gourmands event. With a hint of spring in the air, the Parc invites the entire population to come over and be captivated by the tantalizing aromas of the many food products to indulge in at the event, which continues next weekend, March 10-11.
"More than 20 Québec producers will be on hand to share their passion and food products," stated Société du parc Jean-Drapeau spokesperson Nathalie Lessard. "Visitors will be able to get a taste of many local-flavoured products, such as terrines, pâtés, maple products, chocolates and ice ciders."
The Week-ends gourmands site will be set up at the Jean-Drapeau subway station exit on the two weekends that coincide with the school break, March 3-4 and March 10-11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can also take advantage of their time spent at Parc Jean-Drapeau to take a look at the magnificent Snow Village that is located just a few steps away, or participate in winter activities for people of all ages.
Parc Jean-Drapeau is a unique insular park situated midway between downtown Montréal and the South Shore. It is easy to get to by subway or car. For further information, you can go to the parcjeandrapeau.com website.
