Government of Canada Invests in Mission Folk Festival - Member of Parliament Randy Kamp announces funding for the Mission Folk Music Festival Society Français
MISSION, BC, March 10, 2014 /CNW/ - The Government of Canada has provided $48,000 in multi-year funding through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund to enable the Mission Folk Music Festival Society to present the 27th and 28th editions of the Mission Folk Music Festival.
Randy Kamp, Member of Parliament (Pitt Meadows-Maple Ridge-Mission), announced this continued support today on behalf of Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover. The funding is for two fiscal years: $24,000 in 2014-2015 and $24,000 in 2015-2016.

- The Mission Folk Music Festival provides residents and visitors with access to live performances by emerging and established folk artists from British Columbia and across Canada.
- The 27th annual Mission Folk Music Festival will take place July 25 to 27, 2014, and the 28th edition will take place in July 2015.
