HAPPY VALLEY - GOOSE BAY, NL, July 26, 2019 /CNW/ - Strategic investments in public infrastructure, including funding for water and wastewater infrastructure, and improved roads and highways, play a key role in ensuring Canadians and their families have access to modern, reliable infrastructure that meets their needs, while creating good jobs that help grow the middle class.
Yvonne Jones, Member of Parliament for Labrador, on behalf of the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, today announced funding for 12 infrastructure projects in Labrador.
Projects include improving municipal water and wastewater infrastructure across the region, and upgrading local roads. These projects will provide Labrador residents with cleaner water, more efficient wastewater services and safer travel routes for residents and visitors.
The Government of Canada is investing over $6.5 million to these projects through the Investing in Canada infrastructure plan.
