CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH, NL, July 26, 2019 /CNW/ - Strategic investments in public infrastructure, including funding for water and wastewater infrastructure, improved roads and highways, and recreation, play a key role in ensuring Canadians and their families have access to modern, reliable infrastructure that meets their needs, while creating good jobs that help grow the middle class.
Ken McDonald, Member of Parliament for Avalon, on behalf of the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, today announced funding for 25 infrastructure projects in Southeast Newfoundland.
Projects include improving municipal water and wastewater infrastructure across the region, as well as upgrades to local roads. These projects will provide Newfoundland residents with cleaner water and more efficient wastewater services and safer roads.
The Government of Canada is investing over $9.2 million to these projects through the Investing in Canada infrastructure plan.
