Government of Canada to announce support for African swine fever prevention and preparedness in Canada Français
QUEBEC CITY, Aug. 25, 2022 /CNW/ - Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada
The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will be at le Centre de développement du porc du Québec to make an announcement on measures being taken by the Government of Canada to prevent the introduction of African swine fever into Canada.
The Minister will be joined by Rick Bergmann, President of the Canadian Pork Council and Sylvain Fournaise, Board Member and Past Chair of the Canadian Meat Council and Vice-President of Food Safety and Technical Services for Olymel.
There will be a media Q&A session immediately following the announcement.
