Governments of Canada and the Northwest Territories partner to enhance in-person services in the Northwest Territories Français
OTTAWA, Jan. 9, 2017 /CNW/ - The Government of Canada and the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) have partnered to provide more in-person services to individuals living in the Northwest Territories. Starting today, the governments have launched a 12-month service delivery pilot, in which GNWT employees at single points of service will provide in-person services for Service Canada in the communities of Fort Providence, Fort Liard and Tuktoyaktuk.
Programs and services that will be delivered as part of this pilot include: Apprenticeship Grants, the Canada Pension Plan, Employment Insurance, the Guaranteed Income Supplement, Old Age Security and the Wage Earner Protection Program.
