Governor General to celebrate Queen's 90th birthday with Monarchist League in Toronto on April 20

TORONTO, April 18, 2016 /CNW/ - His Excellency the Rt Hon David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will be attending a Celebration of The Queen's 90^th birthday organized by the Monarchist League of Canada on the eve of Her Majesty's actual birthday.

The event will take place in the Churchill Ballroom of the Chelsea Hotel, 33 Gerrard St W, Toronto.

His Excellency will arrive at 3:45 pm. During the Celebration, he will address those in attendance, unveil a commemorative Coin produced by the Royal Canadian Mint and participate in the League's project of filming the singing of Happy Birthday/Bonne fête to the Sovereign.

Media should register on-site with the League's media coordinator, Aaron Campbell, in order to gain access to positions in the Ballroom which will allow coverage of the event highlights.
