VANCOUVER, June 26, 2017 /CNW/ - A team of six experienced legal professionals from Lando & Company LLP will be joining the Vancouver office of Gowling WLG on Aug. 1, 2017.
Lando & Company is a longstanding Vancouver-based boutique law firm with a strong reputation in the areas of real estate, business law and finance.
The legal team joining Gowling WLG includes Murray Braaten, Mark Ferbers, Paulina Kam, Kenneth Howe, Barbara Wohl and Richard Rabson. Collectively, the Lando group has strong expertise in commercial and investment real estate, commercial lending, real estate development, strata property law and construction.

Called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1981, Murray Braaten has served as Lando's managing partner since 1987. Acting primarily for lending institutions and commercial and residential real estate developers, he has extensive expertise in real estate and resort development, finance, restructuring and foreclosures. Braaten will join Gowling WLG as a partner.

Joining Gowling WLG alongside Braaten as partner is Mark Ferbers. Called to the Manitoba Bar in 1990 and the B.C. Bar in 1991, Ferbers partnered with Lando in 2004 and has broad expertise in real estate and general business law, including commercial leasing, finance, construction and development. He is also a seasoned litigator who specializes in real estate, corporate and commercial litigation, with a focus on foreclosures and builders' liens.
Paulina Kam will join Gowling WLG as a senior associate. Kam was called to the B.C. Bar in 2005 and has practised at Lando since 2007. She has extensive real estate development experience, particularly in the areas of commercial and multi-family development.
