TORONTO, Sept. 29, 2014 /CNW/ - As a tribute to the legendary beer halls of Germany, Rickard's launched their fall seasonal, Lederhosen, at the Concordia Club just before the kick-off to Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest. Guests enjoyed the new brew between the sound of polka music, clinking steins and throngs of people yelling "prost".
The Oktoberfest-style dark amber larger has a smooth medium body with a striking hoppy finish and is the perfect complement to fried salty foods like bratwurst or a plate of Schweinsbraten (Bavarian pork roast).
Rickard's Head Brewmaster, Keith Armstrong, describes what makes Lederhosen the right choice for Oktoberfest celebrations. "We are really excited to bring an Oktoberfest-style lager to the market. The strong hoppy finish and beautiful malt characters makes this brew incredibly refreshing and the perfect festival companion."
