Grammy Award-Winning Singer/Pianist Diana Krall to Perform at Fallsview Casino

NIAGARA FALLS, ON, July 8, 2013 /CNW/ - She has carved herself a permanent position at the top of the jazz charts, and soon Canadian jazz singer and pianist Diana Krall will be coming to Fallsview Casino to kick off October's live concerts with a two-night engagement.

As one of the best-selling artists of her time, Krall has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. Most recently in October 2012, she released her 11th studio album, Glad Rag Doll, which she describes as "a song and dance record", featuring tunes primarily from the 1920s and early '30s and produced by renowned T Bone Burnett. With multiple Grammy and Juno awards to her credit, among other notable recognitions, Krall is sure to thrill audiences with fan-favourites like "The Look of Love" and "You Go To My Head".

To the delight of fans, The Voca People return to the Avalon to present an out-of-this-world and completely original musical adventure. No instruments and no sound effects, this international hit features over 70 a cappella and beatbox versions of popular songs recorded by music icons like Madonna, Queen and even Mozart.

Closing out Fallsview Casino's October performance lineup is Ricky Nelson Remembered, a live show in celebration of the music and the life of America's original Teen Idol. Featuring Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, the identical twin sons of Ricky Nelson, the unique multi-media concert showcases the live music of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's hit songs along with never-before-seen video footage of the iconic family.
