Grand bike recuperation in the heart of downtown! A united effort organized
by SOS Vélo and the Montreal Eaton Centre
MONTREAL, May 13 /CNW Telbec/ - As part of their collaboration that began a year ago, the Montreal Eaton Centre is proud to collaborate with SOS Vélo, an organization that encourages social integration, all the while supporting and encouraging the recycling of bicycles.
On Friday May 14 and 28, between 8am and 10am, SOS Vélo invites all Montrealers to give in their old bicycle by bringing it to the Montreal Eaton Centre, at the Sainte - Catherine Entrance. This drive, under the theme Together we recycle, will be insightful and entertaining, since each bike owner who presents himself between 8am and 10am, will leave with one of the several instant prizes, including the chance to win one of the 15 Écovélo bikes from SOS Vélo.
A mini exposition for a great organization
Bike amateurs, as well as any interested parties, are now able to learn more about SOS Vélo through the mini exposition installed in the Montreal Eaton Centre's Centre Court. We can learn that SOS Vélo receives almost 5,000 bicycles each year. Quite a number to keep the 100 employees in training, busy giving them new life and transforming them into new ones, under the brand Écovélo. Old bike donations can be made directly at the SOS Vélo Boutique located at 2085 rue Bennett in Montreal. Bikers can also contact the organization, at 514-251-8803, and SOS Vélo will gladlypick up the bike, Monday to Thursday.
Bicycles also find their spot at the Montreal Eaton Centre
A special space in the interior parking lot, accessible by the parking entrance on McGill College, has been dedicated to welcome bicycles. Good news for the bike fans, who are increasingly using this urban method of transportation. They now havethe opportunity to ride to work and leave their bicycle in a safe, interior environment, and that for a modest fee.
