BROSSARD, QC, May 26, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Surrounded by its many partners, it was with great pride and excitement that the Leucan Montérégie team announced details of its latest fundraiser, the Leucan Mighty Challenge, at Pascan Aviation.
An original concept
In the spirit of healthy competition, the participating teams must pull three different heavyweights (fire truck, farm machinery or other) one after the other as quickly as possible over a short distance. There will be something for everyone, and teams can register for the friendly event or the competitive event.
Friendly event
As a team, a maximum of 10 people must pull three heavyweights one after the other over a predetermined distance. The rest period between each pull will not be counted.
Competitive event
As a team, a maximum of 5 people must pull three heavyweights one after the other over a predetermined distance without resting. The travel time between each pull will be counted.
To take part in the event, each team must raise a minimum of $1,000 in donations in order to demonstrate their solidarity with the families of cancer-stricken children.
Fun for the whole family
Participants are invited to bring their families. Children will be able to try their hand at their own friendly challenge of attempting of pull a plane (registration on site). Food trucks, music, face painting and special entertainment will be available throughout the afternoon.

A pair of resilient spokespersons
The spokesperson for the event is none other than Hugo Girard, presenter and entrepreneur. He shares his duties with Louis-David Lessard, a courageous 5-year-old and member of Leucan.
Both took part in the filming of an exceptional promotional video, produced by Vertige Image that is sure to make waves on social media this summer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8GXF0o4NtQ
Ambassadors who make the grade
In order to highlight the event within the business community and the population, a committee of ambassadors is joining forces with Leucan. The committee is made up of David Bourbonnière, owner of SENS Club Athlétique and FLiiP; Pascal Plante, President of Groupe Surmesure; Vincent Stever, Vice-President at Solutions PowerSurfer and TowSoft Inc.; and Richard Gendron, Firefighter Lieutenant at fire station 43 in Brossard.
Leucan Montérégie wishes to thank Pascan Aviation for hosting the event within their facilities and for their invaluable collaboration. Thanks also to Solutions PowerSurfer for creating the Leucan Mighty Challenge website.
