TSX: VII
CALGARY, Sept. 16, 2015 /CNW/ - Seven Generations Energy Ltd. (Seven Generations or 7G), along with its community and business partners, raised more than $325,000 for the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital Foundation at 7G's third annual golf tournament.
"Two communities are at work here: the tight natural gas community consisting of energy producers, our suppliers and service providers plus the citizens of the Peace Country. These communities work together every day to build the economic and social vitality of the Grande Prairie region, and we all rely on our hospital and health care providers. These golf tournament sponsorships show how the tight natural gas industry continues to contribute to making the Grande Prairie region an even better place to live, work and play," said Pat Carlson, CEO of Seven Generations.
"This is a tremendous achievement, especially during this period when our crucial energy industry is enduring a significant slowdown. It's a testament to the dedication and generosity of our community businesses, led by Seven Generations. We are truly grateful for our partnerships with Seven Generations and our tight natural gas business," said Cindy Park, Executive Director of the foundation.
When added to the funds raised from the two previous tournaments, Seven Generations and its supporting suppliers and service companies have raised more than $810,000 since 2013. One hundred percent of funds raised will be directed to the new Grande Prairie Regional Hospital campaign where patients and families of this region will benefit greatly.
