Great Place to Work® announces the 2013 World's Best Multinational Workplaces
Tech companies land four out of five top places in the list, Google at number one
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 22, 2013 /CNW/ - Great Place to Work® announced its third annual 25 World's Best Multinational Workplaces List during a live online broadcast event today. For the first time since the list's inception, Google topped the list as the number one company, followed consecutively by SAS, NetApp and Microsoft. W.L. Gore, a manufacturing company, rounds out the top five. In addition, Kimberly Clark, Marriott, Diageo, National Instruments and Cisco took honors in spots six through ten respectively.
Great Place to Work's ranking is the world's largest annual study of workplace excellence and identifies the top 25 best multinationals in terms of workplace culture. Since launching the first best workplaces lists in partnership with FORTUNE magazine in the United States and Exame in Brazil in 1997, Great Place to Work® now recognizes leading workplaces in nearly 50 countries. The World's Best Multinational Workplace list is based on an extensive set of data from some 2,900 companies that were listed on Great Place to Work® country lists. Each year, Great Place to Work® analyzes data from surveys taken by more than 5 million employees and workplace culture analytics conducted at 7,200 companies, which represent more than 16 million employees worldwide.
