Invitation to the launch of Greater Montreal's Vital Signs
MONTREAL, Sept. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - The Foundation of Greater Montreal (FGM) invite you to the launch of the 4th edition of Greater Montreal's Vital Signs, our Region's Check-Up, Tuesday, October 5th, at the Grande Bibliothèque. The report presents a statistical outlook of different sectors of community life such as work, the gap between the rich and the poor, learning, health and wellness, housing, getting around, safety, the environment, arts and culture, getting started in the community as well as belonging and leadership.
In Vital Signs we learn that:
- Francophones leave the City of Greater Montreal in greater proportion than any other group
- 29% of youth between 15 and 24 years old do not attend school
- 16,6% of adults are obese
- Montreal ranks 4th in the Americas for its quality of life

Field experts will be present to share their ideas on enduring key issues as well as the progress made in certain areas.
