Green Earth collects warmth for those in need
Every month Green Earth Organics facilitates a charity drive to make it easier for members receiving their services to give back to the local community. Throughout the month of January drivers working for this socially-conscious organic delivery service will be collecting warm blankets and sweaters in returned bins that will be later dropped off at the Covenant House.
Often broken-hearted, the young people who come to Covenant House face many barriers to independent, healthy living. Many life threatening situations await kids who end up on the street. Substance misuse, disease and violence are a daily reality of street life. Covenant House
Healthy living and social responsibility are key components for Green Earth Organics. By facilitating the donation of warm sweaters and blankets Green Earth hopes to lead by example, supporting young people in their choice to change their present circumstances. Covenant House
Unlike other grocery delivery services, Green Earth Organics features only organic products, and all items sold are sourced from companies that support ethical trade and sustainability. "We started Green Earth Organics as a 'farm to fork' resource to connect local organic farmers and customers," says Green Earth President/Owner
The company supports local farmers and businesses with a portion of profits going to a variety of non-profit groups. But the greatest advantage to consumers may be the time savings: shopping with Green Earth Organics takes just a few minutes online, while studies have shown that the average family spends about 2 hours grocery shopping per week.
