Green Earth Organics spearheads corporate social responsibility during the
holidays by thinking outside the box
There is a tremendous need in the private sector to step-up to the plate when it comes to corporate social responsibility. By considering the impact of their way of conducting business, organizations like Green Earth Organics are able to give back to communities by consciously selecting the activities they undertake.
During the month of December, Green Earth Organics is thinking outside the box as they facilitate a toy drive for child patients who are unable to be home for the holidays. To help put smiles back where they belong, gifts collected from Green Earth members will be donated to the B.C. Children's Hospital.
Unlike other grocery delivery services, Green Earth Organics features only organic products, and all items sold are sourced from companies that support ethical trade and sustainability. "We started Green Earth Organics as a 'farm to fork' resource to connect local organic farmers and customers," says Green Earth President/Owner
The company supports local farmers and businesses with a portion of profits going to a variety of non-profit groups. But the greatest advantage to consumers may be the time savings: shopping with Green Earth Organics takes just a few minutes online, while studies have shown that the average family spends about 2 hours grocery shopping per week.
