Green Oil just one of many topics at the Annual Synergy Conference

RED DEER, AB, Oct. 13 /CNW/ - Peter Silverstone knows how to make Alberta's Oilsands the "World's Greenest Oil.".

Synergy Alberta is proud to announce that Silverstone, a physician, professor, academic, and businessman has been added as a keynote speaker to program of the upcoming Synergy Conference, October 25 - 27, at the Capri Centre in Red Deer. Silverstone will join speakers such as Satya Das, Author of Green Oil, Deputy Premier Doug Horner, Dan McFadyen, Chairman of the ERCB, and many more from government, industry and environmental organizations to explore new ways of working together.

With more than 30 speakers, there's something of interest for any potential attendees, including sessions on emerging issues like electrical transmission, reclamation of wells, wind energy, water recycling and so much more. The conference also offers workshops on learning negotiation skills, land owner rights and understanding oil and gas.

Synergy Alberta is well known for bringing together stakeholders in resource development and each year, the annual Synergy Conference is one of the best opportunities for communities, industries, regulators, municipalities, non-governmental organizations and many more to interact on issues that affect them.

Starting on the evening of Monday, October 25, the Synergy EXPO will kick things off with an interactive trade show featuring a variety of stakeholders, food and entertainment.

Tuesday, October 26 and Wednesday, October 27 features two very full days of conference offerings. Topics include land use planning, air quality, emerging regulatory changes, Aboriginal relations, and cumulative effects as well as workshops and networking opportunities.
