TORONTO, April 23, 2014 /CNW/ - Inspired by Earth Day, the Toronto Parking Authority will host an event to announce Green P's new "Growing Green" initiatives and highlight current green commitments.

The event to showcase "Growing Green" initiatives including:
- Green P+ (plus) Program: Green P+ lots & garages are Community Hub spaces designed, built and operated to meet or exceed community needs over and above that of a regular Green P space, such as community reflective architectural designs and assignable space for community use.
- The introduction of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in collaboration with Precise ParkLink at select Green P parking lots
- An Art Contest to select art to be be displayed at the Yonge - Dundas Electric Vehicle charging station - in collaboration with Arts for Children and Youth
- The newly announced Bike Share Toronto program: the event will be advanced by a Bike Share Toronto bike ride beginning at Nathan Phillips Square (just west of the front door) at 11:30 am, ending at Yonge - Dundas Square. A limited number of Bike Share Toronto bikes will be setaside for those wishing to join the ride to the event.
