BURLINGTON, Ontario, Nov. 8, 2012 /CNW/ - Greyhound today announced that Greyhound Express — the company's premium non-stop service between major cities — will launch service in Ontario, Canada to three new markets including Toronto, London and Windsor, connecting to Detroit, Ann Arbor, Mich., and Chicago starting Nov. 13. This newest expansion adds to the Greyhound Express network of nearly 85 markets. Tickets are now on sale at www.mygreyhoundexpress.ca, with everyday fares starting at $1.
Customers in Ontario can experience the premium service for the first time while customers in Detroit and Chicago have even more travel options and can now also enjoy service between the two major Midwestern cities. "Since its inception in 2010, Greyhound Express has created the largest network of premium non-stop bus service in North America offering more than 800 potential direct-service intercity pairs. This overwhelming success is due to our customers' positive response to the higher level of service that nobody else in the business can match," said Dave Leach, president and CEO, Greyhound. "We've seen our ridership grow nearly 38 percent since we launched Express in Alberta one year ago, and we're thrilled to continue this success by expanding Express in Canada, giving our Ontario customers an affordable, premium service they'll love."
Greyhound Express operates modern, environmentally friendly buses equipped with features such as free Wi-Fi, power outlets, leather seats, reserved seating and extra legroom. Customers can buy their Express ticket online to take advantage of discount pricing, print their ticket at home, or pick it up at a self-service ticketing kiosk, and know a guaranteed seat is waiting for them.
