QUÉBEC CITY, June 11, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Group Germain Hotels, operator of Hôtel La Ferme as of June 1st, is very pleased to announce a series of new features at the hotel, most notably, the addition of a swimming pool and a change of name to Le Germain Hotel Charlevoix.
Moving forward as the newest member of Group Germain Hotels' network, it was only natural that the hotel would adopt a name in fitting with the Québec City-based family business. "Including the region of Charlevoix in the establishment's name was important, as travellers often choose a destination first when planning their vacations," explained Christiane Germain, Co-President of Group Germain Hotels. " We also wanted to benefit from the national reputation of our Le Germain banner so as to attract new visitors in the area."
"Moreover, it's important to note that the authentic farm experience will remain unchanged. Taking the time to slow down and watch sheep grazing in the fields is part of the charm of a stay at this hotel," said Jean-Yves Germain, Co-President of Group Germain Hotels. "We intend to preserve the unique spirit and character that inspired the creation of the hotel, and that guests enjoy so much," he added.
This summer, guests will also have the opportunity to cool off with the addition of an in-ground pool on-site, further enhancing the resort experience. Located near the Spa du Verger, it will be surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds, complete with a hammock garden where people can sway gently. Another interesting fact is that the pool will be heated for the enjoyment of swimmers, young and old.
Annie Bouchard, promoted to Regional Sales Director
Finally, Group Germain Hotels is proud to announce that Annie Bouchard, formerly head of sales at Groupe le Massif, was promoted to the position of Regional Sales Manager for Group Germain Hotels. Ms. Bouchard is now responsible for the sales teams of seven establishments, including all of the Québec hotels, plus Alt Hotel Halifax.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Administration degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and specializing in tourism management, Annie Bouchard has worked in the tourism industry for over 25 years. With experience earned in both Canada and the United States, her knowledge is closely linked to different business markets and resorts.
Ms. Bouchard is also involved in her community as a member of the Strategic Office of the Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval. Her rich experience, her knowledge of the field and her dynamism will certainly be valuable assets in her new role within Group Germain Hotels.
