SAINT-EUSTACHE, QC, Feb. 21, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
As a true economic driver, innovation is the key to success in that it generates growth that benefits businesses and communities. That is why the Government of Canada is committed to supporting innovative Canadian businesses like Groupe AESP to help them grow and generate high-quality jobs.
Linda Lapointe, Member of Parliament for Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, today announced that a $200,000 repayable contribution has been granted to Groupe AESP to help it increase its production capacity, upgrade its technological level and become more competitive.
The company specializes in the design and manufacture of steel structures, guardrails, stairways, metalwork and structural metal.
Five years ago, Groupe AESP decided to focus on the manufacture of custom structural metal. Since then, the business has experienced very significant growth: its sales have tripled and its workforce more than doubled. It now has to increase its production capacity to meet demand. The current project consists in acquiring specialized, fully automated, state-of-the-art equipment for the processing of steel girders, thus supporting the company's growth.
