Groupe Média TFO and La Cité College: Both Francophone creative forces will work together in the heart of the national capital to foster the next generation of Canadian experts. Français
OTTAWA, May 1, 2018 /CNW/ - The strategic partnership between Groupe Média TFO and La Cité College is now official. Both institutions, which share the same educational and cultural mandate, are pleased to announce that they will group up for the Francophone community of Eastern Ontario, on La Cité's main campus. The agreement is but one of many wide-scale projects for La Cité, including the inauguration of its new immersive technology building next September.
Groupe Média TFO and La Cité will be working closely together to support the vitality and outreach of Ontario's Francophone communities. The two combined forces of innovation and schooling will ensure that students will be better prepared for the jobs of tomorrow.
In the face of the societal changes brought on by the 4th Industrial Revolution, Groupe Média TFO will redouble its efforts to create sustainable solutions focused on the emerging needs of the job market. We are proud to accompany the future experts of our country as they learn global competencies by establishing our Ottawa offices at La Cité. La Cité is a gorgeous location offering innovative programs to over 5,000 students. We share the same forward-thinking vision of education. Through this partnership, we will create an inspiring place for convergence and unity among the stakeholders of Francophone knowledge.
- Glenn O'Farrell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Média TFO.
This alliance will greatly enrich experiential learning for students, especially in La Cité's Institute of Technology, Arts and Communications, by allowing them to work with subject-matter experts and providing them with technical tools that meet the standards of the digital community. Groupe Média TFO's new installations in Ottawa will be located near the Institute ― a worthwhile asset as the organization intends to actively collaborate to the Institute's various projects.
We are extremely proud of this collaboration with Groupe Média TFO, which will foster an exchange of expertise on the matter of content creation, programs, learning workshops and experimentation. Additionally, Groupe Média TFO's innovative ability will help to steer the College's general approach in the field of digital technologies. This partnership will enable the development of projects, prototypes, products and services, and these will lead our two organizations to enrich the digital Francophone educational space.
- Lise Bourgeois, President, La Cité
This new vision of La Cité creates a setting that is both professional and social. It encourages students to draw from their experiences to generate their knowledge, acquire horizontal skills and become highly qualified "expert learners".
