MONTRÉAL, Oct. 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP announced today that Guy Savard, a well known business leader and investment banker, has joined the firm as Special Advisor in Montréal.
Mr. Savard started his career as a chartered accountant where he headed a number of national chartered accounting firms. He then acted as president and chief operating officer of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. Later he joined Merrill Lynch Canada as head of its Montréal Office and became Chairman of the firm`s Canadian operations. He has also served on several boards. Mr. Savard is a recipient of the Order of Canada and the Hermes designation conferred by Laval University, together with a Doctorate Honoris Causa from St. Francis Xavier University.
