Guy Tremblay has extensive experience in labour and employment law acquired before the Quebec Labour Relations Board, the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse, grievance arbitration boards, the Commissaire de l'industrie de la construction, and the courts. He has been at the heart of many significant court cases that have shaped labour law. A seasoned negotiator and shrewd strategist, he has been a key player in many labour disputes affecting private companies and is regularly involved in developing collective agreements.
For many years, Guy Tremblay has been recognized as a leader in labour law in the Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada, published by Lexpert/American Lawyer Media. Moreover, since 2011, he has been recognized as one of Canada's leading lawyers in the area of labour and employment law in The Best Lawyers in Canada (Woodward/White). Best Lawyers also named him 2014 Montreal Lawyer of the Year in labour and employment law. In addition, in the annual survey conducted by Lexpert he is regularly ranked as an expert in labour and employment law. In 2011, Guy Tremblay was a recipient of the Quebec Bar's honorary Emeritus Lawyer title.
