GWR Resources Commences 2010 Phase 1 Program at Lac La Hache Porphyry
Gold-Copper Property, British Columbia: Drill Mobilizes to Commence Testing
of New, High Probability, Deep Targets
ARMSTRONG, BC, April 1 /CNW/ - GWR Resources Inc. (TSX Venture: GWQ)
GWR is pleased to announce commencement of the 2010 Phase 1 Exploration Program on the Lac La Hache Property, located within the Quesnel Trough in central British Columbia. Field crews have been dispatched to the property to prepare drill sites and a drilling rig has commenced mobilization. Phase 1 drilling (approximately 4-5 deep holes) is designed to test new, high probability targets within the Aurizon South, Central and Ann Northeast areas, where mineralization discovered by relatively shallow historical drilling supports potential for deeper ores below.
As reported March 4, 2010 (http://www.gwrresources.com/s/NewsReleases.asp) these targets are the result of thorough re-evaluation of all existing data on the property, incorporating relogging of all cores with geochemical, geophysical and surface geological data.
The recent and exciting new deep discoveries made within the Quesnel Trough at several properties below known mineralization (Red Chris, Kemess North, Mount Polley, Afton, Copper Mountain, others) provides a model for the Lac La Hache property.
GWR is excited about this early 2010 Program and anticipates success in more than one of the Phase 1 holes. During Phase 1, the Company will seek additional funding to support a more comprehensive Phase 2 Program, comprising 15,000-20,000 m drilling, additional MMI soil sampling, and trenching/bedrock sampling.
GWR invites interested parties to visit us at the annual Kamloops Exploration Group (KEG) convention April 6-8, 2010, where we will present a talk summarizing the latest features of the Lac La Hache Project.
