GWR Resources Successfully Deepens Gold-rich Aurizon South Zone
ARMSTRONG, BC, May 27 /CNW/ - GWR Resources Inc. (TSX Venture: GWQ) is pleased to report laboratory assays of drill cores from DDH AZS10-21, the first hole completed under the 2010 Drilling Program. This hole represents the continuation of previously drilled vertical hole AZS08-04, which intersected narrow gold-enriched zones (0.76 gpt Au over 3 m from 372-375 m and 0.74 gpt Au over 3 m from 435-438 m) and ended in hydrothermal breccia within potassically altered monzonite, containing 0.11% Cu and 0.78 gpt Au over 4.6 m (477-481.6 m). Subsequent reinterpretation based on relogging of all drill holes in the area had indicated potential continuation of the lower zone, to depth. This interpretation has now been demonstrated to be correct.
Photographs of high-grade chalcopyrite mineralization from AZS10-21 are posted under the "Photo Gallery" heading at www.gwrresources.com. Assays are tabulated below. Note that the combined interval shown over a core length of 137 m represents several mineralized zones (indicated) separated by weakly to non-mineralized intervals.

The Company is extremely encouraged by these results, confirming the presence of high grades below previous drilling in the Aurizon South Zone, and to much deeper depths. A maximum gold grade of 8.7 gpt was obtained in the 2 m interval from 486 to 488 m, and grades exceeding 3 gpt were returned from three intervals longer than 10 m. As previously reported, the Aurizon South Zone is characterized by very high gold content relative to the copper values. Relogging of previously drilled holes on or near this section (7785N) indicates possible shallower extensions of the gold-rich zone may occur. This will be tested during continuation of the 2010 drilling Program.
The implication of these results, as interpreted by GWR's Technical Team, is that deeper mineralization can be expected below and may be physically continuous with several of the existing shallow-drilled zones on the property. Our 2010 work will continue to test this in areas selected via integration of new geological interpretation, geophysics (Deep-IP, airborne and ground magnetic patterns) and geochemistry (drill core multi-element data, conventional soils and new 2009-2010 MMI soil data). The recent and exciting new deep discoveries made within the Quesnel Trough at several properties (Red Chris, Mount Polley, Kemess North, Afton, Copper Mountain, others) below known mineralization, provides a model for the Lac La Hache property, which has the advantage of easy access and very good infrastructure.
New MMI Sampling Underway
Building on our previously reported success using the Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) soil sampling method, which defined strong Cu and other metal anomalies over known mineralization and led to discovery of new copper-gold in outcrop, the 2010 MMI program has recently commenced. Approximately 2300 sites will be added to the existing 1400-site database. The 2010 Drilling Program will test existing and new anomalies, including deep vertical drilling in selected areas.

About GWR Resources Inc. ------------------------
GWR RESOURCES INC. is an active mineral exploration company, currently exploring multiple zones containing commercial grades of copper and gold within its large Lac La Hache copper-gold porphyry project. GWR's project is in the prolific Quesnel Trough area of British Columbia, between producing mines at Imperial Metals' Mt. Polley Copper-Gold Mine and New Gold Inc.'s New Afton Copper-Gold project (Teck-Cominco's legendary Afton mine). The Lac La Hache project is well-served by rail, road and power infrastructure.
