Habitat for Humanity Huron County is the Winner of The Brick's Second Annual Habitat Home
"Brick by Brick: Building Homes. Changing Lives."
EDMONTON, Dec. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - The Brick Ltd. (TSX: BRK) (the "Brick Group") is pleased to announce that Habitat of Humanity Huron County is the official recipient of The Brick's second Habitat home.
The Habitat for Humanity affiliate was named the winner of the second "Build it with The Brick" contest after a nationwide online voting campaign that launched on October 17, 2012. The public was encouraged to vote for the community where they would like to see The Brick sponsor their second Habitat for Humanity home by visiting www.facebook.com/thebrick. The Brick serves in 57 communities where Habitat for Humanity's 69 affiliates operate across Canada.
Over forty thousand votes were registered between October 17th and December 15th, 2012 for the national "Build it with The Brick" campaign, with the town of Goderich coming out on top. Each community's votes were calculated by dividing votes by population for that community. A breakdown of the final tally follows:
- Goderich 28.56%
- Owen Sound 20.30%
Goderich is a town in the Canadian province of Ontario and is the county seat of Huron County with a population of 7,521. Goderich is notable for its sunsets and is located 200 km west of Toronto, ON.

The Brick will continue to provide updates on the progress of the build in Goderich, which is scheduled to begin May 2013, on The Brick Facebook page and through Habitat for Humanity Huron County.
