Habitat Northumberland takes home on the road to make dreams come true!
COBOURG, ON, June 23, 2015 /CNW/ - Habitat for Humanity Northumberland's project in Brighton has it all – a local family donating a house, a municipality donating land, a house "parading" through a small town, and a world-renowned strong man , Reverend Kevin Fast, literally pulling the house to its new location, where a local mother and daughter will have a safe and decent place to live.
When and Where:
Saturday June 27th at 11am at Pinnacle St. in Brighton, ON.
Why is this important?
It's the living embodiment of a community coming together to support one of their own! The generosity of this small town will break the cycle of poverty for a local family, allowing them to finally realize their dreams of homeownership. In turn, this family's mortgage payments will then support future Habitat partner families. This revolving funding is what the Habitat for Humanity program is all about. Habitat: Building Homes. Building Hope.
