Halifax Healthcare IT Company Shows Significant Growth and Success
STI Technologies Limited Grows by 400% since 2011
HALIFAX, June 14, 2013 /CNW/ - STI, reimbursement solutions provider for the Canadian healthcare market, shows growth of 400% in use of their benefit cards since 2011 allowing millions of Canadians the opportunity to gain access to innovative medicines.
In addition to these significant growth statistics, STI was also named one of Atlantic Canada's Best Places to Work and placed on the PROFIT 500 ranking of Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies.
"We've had tremendous growth over the past few years," said Steve Nicolle, CEO of STI. "Our cards are being redeemed by ten thousand patients every day in pharmacies across Canada and giving them greater choice of innovative medications, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable healthcare environment."
The company celebrated these successes by hosting an East Coast Party at a Halifax pub for national pharmacy groups who were in town for the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores (CACDS) conference in Halifax this week. Pharmacy and pharmaceutical executives, as well as physicians, joined STI for some maritime food and drinks and received a special performance from local musical legend Bruce Guthro.
"We've been pleased to have worked closely with STI over the past few months in the launch of innoviCares," said Benoit Gravel, VP, Diabetes and Specialized Care Patient-Centred Unit, Sanofi Canada. "It's nice to toast an east coast company that has made such an impact on the national stage. They are an important partner."
STI's latest solution, innoviCares, is a single-card supplementary benefit that provides coverage for a variety of medications and healthcare products, providing patients with greater choice and access. InnoviCares covers up to the difference in cost between many brand name medications and their generic alternatives allowing patients to remain on brand medication. In addition, innoviCares provides benefits for important chronic conditions like diabetes and pain. This program was recently launched across Canada and is the first multi-company benefit card of it's kind, with over ten participating companies and nearly forty covered products.
