Hallmark Launches New iPhone and iPad App in Time for the Holidays with Award

TORONTO, Nov. 24 /CNW/ - A new iPhone and iPad application from Hallmark is set to bring a new dimension to family story time.

To celebrate the holidays, Hallmark introduces the free Jingle All the Way app. This app complements Hallmark's new Jingle All the Way Interactive Storybook and Story Buddy, a book about a husky pup that finds a home for the holidays and a plush dog with voice-recognition software that responds with barks, whimpers and other sounds when certain lines from the story are read.

The application includes a narrated version of the story and the option to record your own voice reading the story. The plush dog interacts with these readings as well. The app also includes kid-friendly musical games and puzzles.

To install the new Hallmark application, users will need the most recent version of iTunes and an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with OS3.1.3 or higher.

In addition to the great technology Jingle All the Way Interactive Storybook and Story Buddy brings to the holidays, it was recently named a Top 10 High Tech Toy and Top 100 (Overall) Toy for 2010 by Dr. Toy, one of the world's leading experts on play, toys and children's products.
