VAUGHAN, ON, Oct. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - 13 nights of terror at Canada's Wonderland will begin on Friday, October 4, 2013. Halloween Haunt sets the stage for everything that the worst nightmares are made of with 10 horrific mazes, 3 mind-bending scare zones, 3 live shows, hair-raising rides, and over 700 undead spirits and monsters lurking in the shadows preying on the innocent.
This year's monstrous line-up will feature 2 brand news mazes: The Ruins and Sci-Fi House. Trek deep into the unsettling darkness of Wonder Mountain and travel along a bloodied path laced with evidence of massacre, and evil creatures lurking in the shadows. Will you dare to enter The Ruins? The scares will be startling inside the near-perfect Wilson family home on a quiet cul-de-sac. But no one knows what lurks inside this family dwelling once the street lights turn on. Run, don't walk from Sci-Fi House.
The immersive horror experience will continue with 3 twisted live shows. The Underworld will showcase wicked feats of balance and athleticism in a dark cirque style spectacle at Wonderland Theatre. Fire artistry, Banquine, and death-defying trampoline acts will captivate audiences in Skeleton Crew, and master mentalist Mysterion the Mind Reader will engage his dramatic psychic powers to read the minds of unsuspecting and doubting mortals on his own stage in the Medieval Fair area of the park.
Halloween Haunt gates open Friday, October 4 with the event continuing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night in October, plus Thursday, October 24 from 7:00pm until midnight. Halloween Haunt is designed to frighten and therefore not recommended for children. Most major park rides and attractions will be in operation.
