SHERBROOKE, QC, July 30, 2012 /CNW/ - New investments in arts, culture, and official languages will promote economic growth in the Estrie and Centre-du-Québec regions. Support for 28 projects was announced today by Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament (Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière) and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Works and Government Services, for Official Languages, and for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec. On the road to 2017, let us continue to celebrate all of the things that make Canada the united, prosperous, and free country we are today."
"The Harper Government is proud to support organizations that enrich the quality of life of its citizens," said Mr. Gourde. "Our Government is delivering on its commitment to strengthen our economy and our communities, and to support our arts, culture, and official languages."
