VANCOUVER, Oct. 24, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, today announced Government of Canada support for women-led businesses in British Columbia.
The Women's Enterprise Centre of British Columbia is receiving funding for a project to support women entrepreneurs who want to become suppliers of goods or services to international events taking place in the province, specifically the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. The project involves engagement of government departments, the private sector, community organizations, business advocates for women, and women in the business community to establish a proactive, sustained system for identifying and pursuing inbound international and domestic procurement opportunities in a timely and effective manner.
