Harrington Harbour-Chevery Ferry - Beginning of the Barge Mécatina II on May 11, 2017 and Dry Dock From July 3 Until August 8, 2017 Français
QUEBEC CITY, May 10, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - The Société des traversiers du Québec (STQ) wishes to inform the population that the barge Mécatina II will resume its cargo transportation operations between Harrington Harbour and Chevery this Thursday May 11, 2017. For the transportation of vehicles, reservations must be made at least one week prior to the passage of the MV Bella Desgagnés, either by making an arrangement with the captain or by calling 418 787-0120.
Also, the STQ takes this opportunity to advise the population that the barge will be temporarily put out of service from July 3 until August 8, 2017, in order to undergo her periodical dry dock at the L'Isle-aux-Coudres shipyard. The STQ strongly encourages the population to organize the transportation of their oversized cargo and vehicles accordingly, and to plan ahead so that such items may be carried before or after the drydock.
The STQ would like to recall that steps are being taken to put in place a relief service which may be different from the current service, and not enable the transportation of vehicles and oversized cargo. More information will be disclosed as soon as possible on the temporary service. The STQ would like to thank the population for their understanding of this situation.
